The Board of Directors is chaired by Mr Clive Wilkinson, who has been appointed by the Governors for a further four year period commencing 1 April 2006. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is Dr Mark Newbold.
Other than the Chairman and CEO, there are seven non-executive directors and six executive directors. Non-executive directors are appointed for four years with agreed terms of appointment.
The hospital management is led by the Board of Directors. They are responsible for all operational and strategic issues, business and finance and they meet once a month in private. The Governors' Consultative Council of 44 Governors represents our 100,000 strong membership of patients, public and staff and the majority of Governors are elected by the membership. Our Governors provide a direct link to our local community and represent the interests of members and the wider public in the stewardship and development of the Trust. All meetings of the Council are held in public, you are welcome to come and listen to the meeting and the discussions which take place.
Every September, we hold our Annual General Meeting, where staff, patients and other local stakeholders are invited to come and find out about how we have performed during the year. The Trust’s Annual Report is presented and there is an opportunity to ask the Chief Executive, Chairman or Executive Board Directors questions.

At the time of their appointment, all directors are asked to declare any interests on the Register of Directors' Interests. This register is reviewed on a monthly basis and maintained by the Company Secretary. The register is available for inspection by members of the public.
