Welcome to Sexual Health Birmingham, your guide to Sexual Health, HIV and Contraception Services in Birmingham

Were you looking for STI Clinics? STD clinics? HIV Clinics? GUM Clinics? Family Planning? Or contraception services? Or did you just want a Chlamydia Test? Confusing, isn’t it? If you don’t know what to ask for how can you find it?

Don’t worry we are here to help! We are a large professional specialist NHS Sexual Health and HIV service-provider with clinics over 4 sites in the Birmingham Area.

Our Central service is based at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, part of the Heart of England NHS Trust. From this site we run a variety of routine and specialist sexual health and contraception clinics.

It is also the home of the Birmingham Heartlands HIV Service, one of the largest HIV services in the Midlands, which has an excellent reputation both nationally and internationally; this incorporates the Regional Paediatric HIV Service and an HIV Family and Adolescent Service.

We also run Sexual Health Clinics from the Drake Unit, Great Charles Street, Birmingham City Centre, in association with Brook, Birmingham and the Terrence Higgins Trust.

We provide a free, completely confidential service for anything related to sexual health, HIV and contraception.
